As the Permanent Representative of the U.S. Mission to the World Trade Organization, I commit to also undertake the following:

• Improve gender balance in Geneva-based UN and international organizations by leveraging public reporting of gender data on personnel, including data provided through the UN System-wide Action Plan on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-SWAP), to increase awareness and stimulate actions to address any gender disparities in these organizations.
• Finalize a holistic gender policy for the U.S. Mission in Geneva that reinforces U.S. government policies and practices aimed at achieving gender equality within the Mission through training, recruitment, and mentoring; and calls on Mission employees to actively identify opportunities to promote gender equality in Geneva-based organizations and negotiations.
