As the Special Representative for Disaster Risk Reduction and Head of the United Nations Office for  Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), I commit to also undertake the following:

• 100% of UNISDR staff will complete the UN Women I Know Gender training by 30 April 2016
• I have appointed a gender focal point at UNISDR and will meet the focal point on a monthly basis to identify gender-related issues in the workplace that require management attention, in addition to programmatic issues related to gender-sensitive disaster risk reduction.
