WTOI, Roberto Azevêdo, support the GGC Panel Parity Pledge.

As the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), I commit to also undertake the following:

  • Organize and facilitate career development training activities and programs on women and gender issues, particularly:
    • Organize a women leadership development programme which addresses confidence-building and interviewing skills; and
    • Facilitate a staff training program on gender sensitivity.
  • Launch an internal mentoring program for women staff.
  • Work to further incorporate gender dimensions into trade related issues.
  • Provide an annual report to Member States on gender and diversity in the WTO Secretariat.
