Permanent Representative | Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations Office in Geneva

S-DalilI, Suraya Dalil, support the GGC Panel Parity Pledge.

As the Permanent Representative of the Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations Office in Geneva, I commit to also undertake the following:

  • Support Resolutions in the Human Rights Council that contribute to uphold the human rights of women.
  • Advocate and support gender equality, women’s empowerment, women’s rights in humanitarian as well as development, and women’s role in peace process in all international fora and discussions in Geneva.
  • Promote and communicate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, Afghanistan, on appointing more qualified female diplomats to the Mission in Geneva.
